MySQL is an open-source relational database management system. Its name is a combination of "My", the name of co-founder Michael Widenius's daughter, and "SQL", the abbreviation for Structured Query Language.
Host an instance of MySQL database easily using Deploy Monk.
1. Create project
- Open your Deploy Monk Console and click on
- Enter the
Project name, select
Server sizeand click on
Savebutton to create the project.

2. Create project service
Add Service button and fill in the information as follows:
Service type, select
Database type, select
Service name, enter a name for your service
Portenter port value (optional, default
Database nameenter database name (eg:
Database userenter database user (eg:
Database passwordenter a database password (tip: use passwordsgenerator.net to generate random secure password)

Save button to create the new service.
3. Deploy the project
Deploy button to deploy the project and go live.
